Welcome To Beijing!

The first photo is of a HUGE dinosaur in the Chicago O'Hare airport. Just a little something we found interesting on the way to China.  The Chicago O'Hare airport has been renovated and is very nice.  When we left on the 13th we left at 7am and stopped at this airport for 3 hours before boarding the plane to China.

We flew over some mountains right before we entered Beijing China.  They were really beautiful and didn't even look real from 25,000 feet in the air.  The Beijing airport was also very nice and our guide that met us in the airport is named Joy.  We met other families as we traveled through the very, very busy streets of Beijing to our hotel. Our hotel is very beautiful and in the lobby is a very pretty light with 1,000 cranes hanging from it.

  1. Hi Mrs. Pavlovec,
How are you doing? We've enjoyed the pictures and what you've told us so far about your trip. Is Beijing a beautiful place? Are the prices of things very expensive? We look forward to hearing more from you.
    Sincerely,
    Mr. Jones' 5th Graders

  2. HI Mr. Jones and your class!! Beijing is not necessarily beautiful. I will try to show you why in a later post. It is a HUGE city and it is packed with cars, buildings and people. Very crowded. I am sure it looks a little nicer in the summer when the trees and flowers are out but it is still a huge, crammed city. The prices are actually pretty much the same or cheaper than the USA- which is great!
